To serve people. To love people. To be there for people.

We've been watching our Dad and Mom for our whole lives -- over three decades. I'm 31 and my brother, Jon, is 34. As we've grown older, we've grown to watch them more closely. With more appreciation. For the last 40 years, they've dedicated their lives to serving God and the people of Detroit through the Straight Gate International Church. By their example, in word and in deed, we've learned that our purpose in life is to serve. To serve people. To love people. To be there for people.

In April 2016, we transformed our church bookstore at the Straight Gate International Church into a cafe & shop concept, called The Narrow Way Cafe & Shop. The purpose was to meet the needs of our congregation and community both physically and spiritually. Our congregation fell in love with the product and service. We knew we were on to something.

Just a few months later, in July 2016, we set our sights on bringing the Narrow Way Cafe & Shop experience to the community at large. Our concept is simple. The Narrow Way cares about the Detroit community and will provide the best quality fresh ground coffee, loose leaf tea, and baked goods experience in Detroit, within a stress free environment. You'll be respected, you'll be served, you'll be appreciated. We strive to be a fabric of the community by helping our customers eliminate stress from their life and acknowledging them as people, highlighting their awesomeness and their achievements. Buy our fresh coffee online or in-person at The Narrow Way Cafe.
